MiraFlex BRF (Boiler Room Flooring)

MiraFlex BRF (Boiler Room Flooring) is a multi-layered troweled application designed for use as a waterproof flooring system for application in upper level boiler room and mechanical equipment rooms.

The material is applied in individual troweled layers, which forms, successively, an elastic latex waterproof membrane, an integral waterproof base turned up at walls and equipment pads, and a durable finished floor.
MiraFlex BRF components are all combinations of liquid rubber latex polymers incorporating dehydrating powders, vulcanizers and special aggregates. The waterproof membrane and waterproof base are reinforced with a polypropylene mesh fabric. Topmost applications consist of a pigmented acrylic coating.

The product is designed for application over concrete or masonry surfaces, new or existing. Separate specifications are available for wood or plywood surfaces – consult Crossfield Products Corp. MiraFlex BRF components are entirely water-based and contain no hydrocarbon solvents. They have no toxic odor during application, are not flammable, and are environmentally safe.

The approximate thickness of MiraFlex BRF is 3/16″ (4.7 mm). It is available in a range of 15 standard colors. Request Crossfield Products Corp. Design Guide 6 (“Design Ideas for Waterproofing a Mechanical Equipment Room”) for detailing information

Where to Use:

As combination waterproofing and floor finish for mechanical equipment rooms, air conditioning rooms, boiler rooms, plenums and similar spaces subject to leakage through inadvertent water spillage.
