ColorPax LIP (Liquid Integral Pigment)

Miracote ColorPax LIP (Liquid Integral Pigment) is a formulated coloring dispersion that is mixed with the liquid polymer component of cementitious base coats.

Where to Use
Miracote ColorPax LIP Pack is designed for use in MiraStamp Liquid Polymer and Miracote Liquid Catalyst to produce accent coloration in Overlay MiraStamp, Miracote MT-DP and Miracote MPC Pool Deck topping applications. ColorPax LIP can be added to MiraPatch RM  White to produce a decorative repair mortar, and can be added to Miracote Mirastain to accent applied toppings. ColorPax LIP is available in all standard colors and can be ordered in custom matched colors.

ColorPax LIP creates a homogenous coloration dispersed in liquid polymers. Materials incorporating ColorPax LIP deliver a full depth color that is colorfast, resistant to ultraviolet degradation and is not subject to photo-induced deterioration. Designed for compatibility with liquid polymers, ColorPax LIP affords development of uncompromised physical properties.

Miracote ColorPax- U pigment is a formulated coloring dispersion that is mixed with low VOC clear urethane or poly-urea based systems.

Miracote BC Pro is a single component polymeric-modified, cementitious coating specially formulated to enhance performance, preserve valuable time and removal of existing plaster finishes.  It is an adhesion promoter and bond coat for plaster applicaitons.  Miracote BC Pro delivers brilliant cohesion between properly prepared substrates and new plaster finishes.  Miracote BC Pro was designed and formulated to deliver unequaled performance and dependable bonding characteristic’s in submerged applications.

Miracote Mirastain

Miracote Mirastain is a co-polymer and water-based carrier concentrate solution designed to be field mixed to formulate an Architectural Accent Stain to color surfaces of many poured-in-place cement, mortar or concrete construction materials. Miracote Mirastain base dilution is achieved by adding a Miracote high-grade Colorpax-LIP dispersion and a specified proportion of a specified grade of a safe solvent to the Mirastain II Base. The derivative product known as Miracote Mirastain is a co-polymer and water-based carrier solution specifically formulated to penetrate concrete, masonry and polymeric enhanced cementitious surfaces to provide color tinting or staining of the surface. Miracote Mirastain is designed to accept most water-based sealers and is specifically formulated to accept Miracote’s water-based  MiraGard HDWB clear acrylic in water solution; MiraFlor WB, water-based clear epoxy; MiraPrime ML, water-based epoxy; and MiraThane WB. Also, MiraFlor CQ Clear, a high solids clear two-component epoxy; or MiraFlor Glazetop, a high-solids clear aliphatic elastomeric polyaspartic, is often applied as a protective finish on decorative flooring applications. Miracote Mirastain yields a flat luster, which can be enhanced with Gloss, Matte or Satin sealers as desired.

Where to Use
Miracote Mirastain is recommended for use over concrete. Miracote MPC, MiraStamp, Miracote MT, Miracote MT-DP, and can be applied over most cement based self-leveling systems, masonry and polymer modified cementitious substrates when a flat Architectural accent color is desired to provide a vibrant, translucent color tint that transforms any surface into enhanced intricate designs and décor. For added diversity, Miracote Mirastain can be applied over integrally colored substrates or substrate that have received chemical reactive staining to further develop accent color or variegation. Simultaneous application of multiple color tints can yield many interesting tones and mottled effects. Miracote Mirastain, however, will deliver relatively consistent results over Miracote MPC-MT or MiraStamp applications because the substrate materials are factory controlled.

Miracote MPC (Multipurpose Protective Coating)

Miracote MPC (Multipurpose Protective Coating) is a polymerized, two component, cementitious protective coating that can be applied over a variety of surfaces including concrete, masonry, metal, wood and tile. It consists of a unique rubber-like polymer liquid that is mixed with a proprietary cement and aggregate blend.  Miracote MPC is then applied in two or more coats by trowel, brush, roller, spray or squeegee to a typical thickness of 1/16" (16mm). Designed for both exterior and interior use, Miracote MPC restores and protects concrete surfaces from the consequences of exposure to water and chloride intrusion, freeze thaw damage and carbonation.  Miracote MPC is an extremely durable, cost-effective protective coating that is "breathable" and allows for the transmission of inherent moisture vapor within concrete without blistering or delamination. By lowering moisture content within the concrete, Miracote MPC helps reduce the potential for corrosion of steel reinforcement.

Miracote Synthetic Aggregate

Miracote Synthetic Aggregate is a single component additive that can be utilized to impart non-skid properties to assorted Miracote sealers. Miracote Synthetic Aggregate is easily incorporated into HD 400 Sealer, HD 100 Sealer, HDWB Sealer, Mirathane WB, Mirapoxy WB, Colorbond XL or Glazetop. This additive does not affect the performance of the fully cured final product.

Where to Use
For waterborne systems (HDWB, Colorbond XL and Mirathane WB, and Mirapoxy WB) 1-2 ounces, by volume, of Synthetic Aggregate per gallon of sealer is recommended. For Glazetop, 3-4 ounces, by volume, per gallon of mixed components is recommended. For HD 400 Sealer, 1-2 ounces, by volume, per gallon of material is recommended. For HD 100 Sealer 1-2 ounces, by volume, per gallon of material is recommended.

MiraFlex Membrane A

Miracote MiraFlex Membrane A is a unique polymer emulsion waterproofing designed for use beneath ceramic tile, marble, quarry tile, below grade, between slab and under Miracote composition floors and decks.

MiraFlex Membrane A is recommended for tank lining in potable water drinking systems. MiraFlex Membrane A is based on a styrene butadiene latex that dries to form a tough, water and vapor resistant film. The latex is water based, environmentally friendly and does not contain any solvent. It is non-toxic and can be used in conjunction with potable water.

Applied by roller, trowel, spray or squeegee, MiraFlex Membrane A offers water protection together with excellent adhesion and is more resistant to impact than most membranes. It is applied to floors and molded up onto bases, over curbs, etc. without the use of any adhesive other than its own composition. Among the surfaces Membrane A can cover are concrete, tile and metal. For wood surfaces, consult Crossfield Products Corp.

The final thickness of MiraFlex Membrane A is 25 mils dry (standard application, two applications of 23-25 mils wet) and 30 mils dry (polypropylene fabric reinforced). Laboratory tests have established that MiraFlex Membrane A will bridge concrete cracks up to 1/8" (3.2 mm) at temperatures as low as 0F. However, prudent design would assume that the product can be expected to bridge a crack of up to 1/16" (1.6 mm).

Where to Use
As a waterproof membrane directly under seamless composition floors (Miracote or other), ceramic tile, quarry tile, marble, etc. For application as mechanical equipment room waterproofing or computer access floor waterproofing for below grade or between slab applications, consult separate Crossfield Products Corp. specifications.

MiraFlex Membrane B

Miracote MiraFlex Membrane B is a specially formulated polymer emulsion waterproofing designed for use over metal flashing, beneath ceramic tile, marble, quarry tile, below grade, between slab and under Miracote composition floors and decks.

MiraFlex Membrane B is recommended for tank lining in potable water drinking systems. MiraFlex Membrane B is based on a unique acrylic emulsion that dries to form a tough water and vapor resistant film. The latex is water based, environmentally friendly and does not contain any solvent. Cold weather application is achieved with this membrane technology.

Applied by roller, trowel, spray or squeegee, MiraFlex Membrane B offers tenacious adhesion, water protection, and is more resistant to impact than most membranes. It is applied to floors and molded up onto bases, over curbs, etc. without the use of any adhesive other than its own composition. Among the surfaces Membrane B can cover are lath, metal flashing, concrete, tile and other metals including copper. For wood surfaces, consult Crossfield Products Corp.

MiraFlex Membrane C

MiraFlex Membrane C is a state-of-the-art, two-component, polymer-modified, highly flexible, cementitious membrane for the waterproofing and protection of concrete, masonry and many other types of construction materials and substrates.  Designed for exterior or interior applications, above or belowgrade, MiraFlex Membrance C can be used and applied to horizontal, vertical and overhead surfaces.

Applied by roller, trowel, spray apparatus or squeegee, MiraFlex Membrane C is ideal for use in waterproofing applications under tile and other composite flooring systems.  It is also capable of stand-alone applications, and can remain exposed to mechanical wear and abrasion, impact, immersion in water, UV and normal climatic and environmental elements.  For detailing and treatment of cracks and construction joints, it can b embedded with Miracote Poly Fabric ffor reinforcement and enhanced dimensional stability.  With its cementitious backbone, MiraFlex Membrane C is compatible with other cementitious materials, thin-set mortars and moist coatings and sealers.

MiraFlor CQ Broadcast System

Miracote MiraFlor CQ Broadcast Flooring is a thin section flooring system designed for use where a durable, monolithic floor with decorative value is required. Available in one, two or three broadcast and recover options, the completed floor is approximately 1/16" (1.59mm) to 1/8" (3.18mm) thick. Consists of colored quartz granules embedded in a MiraFlor CQ Clear epoxy resin. It is resistant to hydrocarbon greases, food greases and fats and a range of chemicals.
MiraFlor CQ Broadcast System can be applied over concrete sub-surfaces. Consult Crossfield Products Corp. office for specification or technical assistance when required over other substrates.

Special Colored Quartz aggregate granules are available in nine colors (gray, blue, white, black, brown, buff, tan, green and red). These aggregates are be mixed to make any color combination, which the above colors can produce. Eighteen standard aggregate blends are available and featured on the Miracote CQ Color chart.

MiraFlor CQ Broadcast System flooring is available with an EPA Listed Anti-Microbial Biocide, which protects against growth of algae, bacteria, fungi, mold, mildew, yeast, etc.

In areas of high moisture emissivity, MiraPrime MVERS is to be specified. Alternative topcoats include MiraFlor Glazetop and MiraThane.

Where to Use 
Floors in front of houses, large public foyers, main lobbies, halls, passageways, laboratories, toilet rooms, food service, betting and stadium concessions and public areas, and in many institutional service environments.

MiraFlor CQ Clear

Miracote MiraFlor CQ Clear epoxy is a thin film two-component polymer used in Miracote Colorquartz, Miracote MPC-MT concrete floor coating and concrete floor sealing applications.

MiraFlor CQ Clear epoxy adds value, durability, and ease of maintenance. It is designed for use where long-lasting monolithic protection of decorative substrates is required. The completed system, 2 coats at approximately 7 mils each can perform as a stand-alone application over concrete, or can be applied in conjunction with Miraflor Glazetop topcoat when the advantages of a urethane topcoat are desired.

MiraFlor CQ Clear epoxy can be applied over prepared concrete substrates or approved Miracote Systems. Consult any Crossfield Products Corp. office for specification or technical assistance.

Where to Use
MiraFlor CQ Clear epoxy is designed for Institutional, Commercial and Retail sanitary looking flooring areas. Typical applications include food preparation, laboratories, toilet rooms, food service, clinical sites, pet care, garage floors, etc. to protect the substrate concrete or decorative applications from medium to heavy duty use.

MiraFlor CQ Pigmented Broadcast System

Miracote MiraFlor CQ Pigmented Broadcast Systems are Scientifically Superior monochromatic (solid color) three-component polymer system consisting of MiraFlor CQ Clear epoxy and hardener, and ColorPax-E (epoxy pigment pack), plus select Miracote aggregates. The floors (single and double broadcast) range in thickness from 1/20" (1.27 mm) to 1/8" (3.17 mm). The special aggregate is added to provide thickness, plus impact and skid resistance. MiraFlor CQ Pigmented Broadcast Systems are available in standard colors.
It can be finished with optional topcoats of clear (gloss) or matte finish, MiraFlor CR-N when subjected to extremely harsh chemical exposure or MiraFlor Glazetop, which is a highly chemical and abrasion-resistant polyurea topcoat.

MiraFlor CQ Pigmented Broadcast Systems are available with an EPA Listed Anti-Microbial Biocide, which protects against growth of algae, bacteria, fungi, mold, mildew, yeast, etc.

Where to Use
The intended use ranges from dry to wet environments in commercial, industrial and institutional areas, such as manufacturing, processing, warehousing, stairs, ramps, walkways, corridors and commons-areas. The material can be applied over new or existing concrete or Miracote composition floors or metal or wood sub-surfaces (Consult Crossfield for detailed specification for metal or wood surfaces).

In addition, MiraFlor CQ Pigmented Broadcast Systems are Scientifically Superior Systems include: Smooth Coat; Smooth Coat with Synthetic Aggregate; Slurry coat; and Slurry coat Broadcast.

MiraFlor CR

Miracote MiraFlor CR is a highly chemical resistant, slip-retardant coating for application over concrete or else as the finish coating for MiraFlor CQ Clear Epoxy.

Formulated using the most advanced normal-epoxy chemistry; MiraFlor CR produces a tighter "cross-linking" than conventional epoxies. As a result, the material resists physical attack from the spillage of a very wide range of acids, alkalis and solvents. It also resists staining from the spillage of many chemicals, which would discolor ordinary epoxies.

Due to its specialized chemistry, MiraFlor CR is premium priced compared to conventional epoxy floor coatings and should be used only where its superior properties are required.

MiraFlor CR is a three component material consisting of normal epoxy resin, catalyst and special metallic, oxide, slip-retardant aggregates. The three components are mixed together immediately prior to application and the material is then troweled into place. The final coating is applied by roller.

MiraFlor CR is available in five different slip-retardant "profiles" ranging from very coarse to very fine. Selection of profiles to be used depends upon the degree of slip-retardance required, the cleaning characteristics desired and the area of use.

The material is available in a wide range of colors as well as a non-pigmented, clear type.

Formulated with environmental requirements in mind, MiraFlor CR contains no hydrocarbon solvents and thus meets all state and local volatile organic substance regulations. MiraFlor CR has no significant odor during installation.

Slip retardant surface coating for use in manufacturing, storage, laboratories and containment areas subject to damaging chemical spillage.

MiraFlor CR-N

Miracote MiraFlor CR-N is a seamless epoxy flooring that offers chemical resistance superior to that of conventional epoxy floors. Formulated using the most advanced novolac-epoxy chemistry, MiraFlor CR-N produces a tighter "cross-linking" than other epoxies. As a result, the material resists physical attack from the spillage of a very wide range of acids, alkalis, and solvents. Additionally, MiraFlor CR-N offers resistance to sustained high temperature spillage up to 250°F (120°C) and intermittent spillage up to 350°F (178°C). Note: Typical epoxy flooring materials soften and deform at sustained temperatures in excess of 150°F.

MiraFlor Full Flake Broadcast System

Miracote MiraFlor Full Flake Broadcast System  is a decorative seamless epoxy flooring system with vinyl chips broadcast into it. MiraFlor Full Flake Broadcast consists of a primer, opaque or pigmented epoxy receiving coat, broadcast colored vinyl chips and a clear epoxy or urethane topcoat. MiraFlor Full Flake Broadcast is available in standard colored chips and patterns (see the Miraflake Color Card). Custom mixes can be field created using standard solid colors.

Vinyl chips can be broadcast into MiraFlor Full Flake Broadcast receiving coat based on desired end look. The chips can be broadcast from a range of a few random chips per square foot into a pigmented receiving coat to complete chip coverage, which can be broadcast into a clear opaque or pigmented epoxy receiving coat.

The top coat(s) lock the vinyl chips in place. One to two topcoats are designed to hold the vinyl chips in place. One epoxy or urethane lock coat is more economical and will leave an aggressive skid resistant finish, however it will be more difficult to clean. Two topcoats will make the system smoother, providing a less resistant floor, but will be easier to clean.

MiraFlor Full Flake Broadcast is available with an EPA Listed Anti-Microbial Biocide, which protects against growth of algae, bacteria, fungi, mold, mildew, yeast, etc.

MiraFlor Glazetop is a state of the art, high solids, and UV stable, aliphatic elastomeric polyaspartic coating. Polyaspartics are a sub-class of polyureas. MiraFlor Glazetop displays a low odor during placement and cure. It offers fast turnaround times. Unlike most commercially available polyureas, MiraFlor Glazetop does not require the use of plural component spray apparatus, MiraFlor Glazetop is specially formulated for working time of 25 minutes with a hard dry in 6 hours at 75°F (24°C). It is available in clear and Tint Base.

MiraFlor KF

MiraFlor KF is a trowel/broadcast applied flooring product designed to produce a durable, monolithic floor and base. The complete floor is approximately 1/4" thick and consists of a two component resinous system combined with selected aggregates and fillers. It is resistant to hydrocarbons, vegetable oils, animal fats and a wide range of acids, alkalis and solvents.

Floors for industrial use including manufacturing plants, research facilities, machine shops, meatpacking and food processing areas, commercial kitchens, washrooms, etc.

MiraFlor MC-5

Miracote MiraFlor MC-5 Flexibilized Epoxy is a polyurethane modified epoxy resin composition designed to provide crack reduction and waterproofing under various floor and deck systems through crack isolation.

MiraFlor MC-5 is designed for use underneath Miracote finished seamless flooring or, frequently, other types of floor finish such as ceramic tile.

Among the surfaces that MiraFlor MC-5 can cover are prepared concrete, wood or plywood (after special preparation), and many existing floor finishes.

Where to Use
As a waterproofing and crack isolation membrane directly under finished floors is secondary containment areas, under terrazzo and ceramic tile, and beneath industrial floor applications. Among the areas that this membrane is applicable are hospitals, commercial kitchens, shopping malls, industrial plants, bio medical facilities, animal housing, mechanical equipment rooms, etc., as a flexible crack filler and sealant in concrete decks under Miracote cementitious coatings.

MiraFlor Random Flake Broadcast System

MiraFlor Random Flake Broadcast System is a decorative seamless epoxy flooring system with vinyl chips broadcast into it. MiraFlor Random Flake Broadcast System consists of a primer, opaque or pigmented epoxy receiving coat, broadcast colored vinyl chips and a clear urethane topcoat. MiraFlor Random Flake Broadcast System is available in standard colored chips and patterns (see the Miraflake Random Color Card). Custom mixes can be field created using standard solid colors.

Vinyl chips are sparsely broadcast into MiraFlor CQ Clear receiving coat based on desired end look. The chips can be broadcast from a range of a few random chips per square foot into a pigmented receiving coat to complete chip coverage, which can be broadcast into a clear opaque (MiraFlor CQ Clear) or pigmented (MiraFlor CQ Pigmented) epoxy receiving coat.

MiraFlor Glazetop Clear aliphatic polyurea urethane topcoat(s) lock the vinyl chips in place. One to two topcoats are designed to hold the vinyl chips in place. MiraFlor Random Flake Broadcast System is more economical than MiraFlor Full Flake Broadcast System. One topcoat will leave an aggressive skid resistant finish, however it will be more difficult to clean. Two topcoats will make the system smoother, providing a less resistant floor, but will be easier to clean.

MiraFlor Flake Broadcast Systems are available with an EPA Listed Anti-Microbial Biocide in the epoxy receiving coat only. Incorporating an anti-microbial in the epoxy systems, which protects against growth of algae, bacteria, fungi, mold, mildew, yeast, etc.

MiraPatch DP

Miracote MiraPatch DP is a thin-section, rapid-hardening composition that is flexible, resilient and easy to clean. MiraPatch DP produces an extremely durable, low cost, yet attractive appearance. MiraPatch DP can be installed over concrete when pre-smoothing or pitch is required. Typical thickness up to 1 1/2 of an inch (38 mm) are easy to achieve. MiraPatch DP is light in weight and at approximately 1.2 lbs. per square foot. It can be used in the widest ranges of climates and is offered in slip-resistant profiles. MiraPatch DP is supplied as a light gray powder.
Important characteristics of MiraPatch DP are its extraordinary adhesion coupled with its ability to withstand prolonged pedestrian and vehicular traffic. In these respects the material is far superior to conventional cementitious coatings used to resurface old or worn concrete.
MiraPatch DP provides a tough retardant coating, which substantially reduces or prevents water penetration, freeze thaw, scaling and concrete carbonation.

MiraPrime MVERS

Miracote MiraPrime MVERS is a fluid-applied uniquely modified epoxy moisture mitigation system. It is designed to be used as an above- and below-grade vapor retarder that is placed on the negative side of the concrete substrate. As a vapor emission suppressor, one application of MiraPrime MVERS will withstand moisture vapor emission rates of up to 10 lbs/1000 sq/ft/24 hrs. Two applications will withstand moisture vapor emission rates of up to 15 lbs/1000 sq/ft/24 hrs. It is recommended for use under impervious non-breathing flooring systems that cannot withstand moisture vapor transmission levels with moisture vapor emissions rates above the floor covering manufacturer’s recommended levels.

MiraPrime MVERS is ideal for use under the vast majority of non-breathing flooring systems, including epoxies, urethanes, rubber, adhesives (for carpet, vinyl and wood), vinyl tiles, vinyl sheet goods, woods and other impervious flooring systems.

As a general rule, most flooring manufacturers (rubber-backed carpet, tile, vinyl, wood or resinous) do not recommend installing their products on concrete surfaces having moisture vapor emissions rates level in excess of 3.0 lbs. of moisture emission over a 1,000 square foot area during a 24 hour time period as measured by an anhydrous Calcium Chloride Test Procedure tested in accordance with ASTM F1869.

MiraPrime MVERS is applied in either single application of 7 mils wet/dry film thickness or two applications at 7 mils wet/dry film thickness per each coat. If vinyl tile, rubber, wood, carpet or other manufacturer flooring is the final flooring, a polymer modified cementitious intermediate coat is applied to provide for proper adhesion of the finished flooring system. Miracote resinous flooring systems may be applied directly to the MiraPrime MVERS System. Consult Crossfield for recommendations regarding potential intermediate coating products for non-Miracote products.

Formulated with environmental requirements in mind, MiraPrime MVERS contains no hydrocarbon solvents and thus meets all volatile organic substance regulations. MiraPrime MVERS has no significant odor during installation.

Where to Use
MiraPrime MVERS is placed directly on properly prepared, strong and durable concrete substrates. The day after placement, the intended (impervious non-breathing) flooring system can be placed.
